This is the main focus of the Society. text/html 2008-02-11T14:19:07+01:00 http://www.globalyouth.org http://www.globalyouth.org/content/view/12/31/ The Global Youth Lyceum was founded to serve as the college of electors who will select the final winners in each category of the Global Youth Awards. The Global Youth Lyceum, being a registered not-for-profit company will also handle all organisation and planning related to the successful staging of the Awards each year. In accordance with the founder's desire to ensure that the Global Youth Awards eventually attains a self-sustaining status, the Global Youth Lyceum will compile a set of Commemorative Music albums that will be released prior to the actual ceremony in the Autumn of every year. The Commemorative Albums set will feature several genres of contemporary music that will appeal to all ages and races. Crucially though all music tracks will represent inspirational or uplifting themes and devoid of any offensive lyrics. Contributing artists donating their tracks will provide original music either written specifically for the Awards or adapted for it. Although the selection of music will be open to all, it is envisaged that the commemorative albums will be an opportunity for many unknown artists to gain new audiences or broaden their appeal. All profits from the sale of the music tracks/downloads will go towards nominated youth projects and the Awards fund for the next year's programme.
